Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
This website (audit.motstechnologies.in) is operated by MOTS Technologies, a web development and digital services company based in Nagpur, Maharashtra, India. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" refer to MOTS Technologies. "You" means any visitor who submits a website URL for auditing.
2. What information we collect
When you request a free audit, we collect:
- Website URL — the address of the website you want audited.
- Email address (optional, asked at the report stage) — so we can send you your report link and, if you choose the free full-report option, deliver it there.
- Phone number (optional, via the questionnaire) — only if you would like a callback about the findings.
- Permission confirmation — submitting the audit form confirms you own the website or are authorised to audit it (see our Terms).
- LinkedIn page and consent record (only if you choose the free full-report option) — the LinkedIn profile or company page you provide, together with the time, IP address and wording of your consent to a LinkedIn mention.
- IP address and browser user-agent — captured automatically in server logs, used to prevent abuse and rate-limit submissions.
- Audit results — the technical findings our script produces about the audited website.
We do not use cookies for advertising or tracking. We may use a short-lived session cookie to display your audit progress page after submission.
3. Why we collect it
- To run the audit you requested and deliver its report to you.
- To record and honour your LinkedIn-mention consent, if you give it.
- To contact you about technical problems with the audit, if any.
- To prevent automated abuse of the free service.
- To improve the audit tool itself (aggregate, non-identifying patterns only).
We do not sell your information to anyone. We do not use your information to train AI models.
4. How long we keep it
- Audit reports and the data needed to render them: 90 days from generation, after which they are automatically deleted.
- Email and phone associated with a submission: 90 days, then anonymised in our records.
- LinkedIn consent records: kept for as long as a related LinkedIn post may remain published, as proof of consent.
- Server logs (IP, user-agent): 30 days for security and abuse-prevention purposes.
5. Who we share it with
We share information only with infrastructure providers we use to operate the service:
- Our hosting provider, who stores the audit data on encrypted disks.
- Our transactional email provider, who delivers the audit report email to your inbox.
These providers handle data on our behalf under contract and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. We do not share information with advertisers, marketers, or any third party for commercial purposes.
6. Your rights under the DPDP Act 2023
India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 gives you these rights over your personal data:
- Right to access — request a copy of the information we hold about you.
- Right to correction — ask us to correct inaccurate information.
- Right to erasure — ask us to delete your information.
- Right to grievance — raise a complaint with our Grievance Officer, and escalate to the Data Protection Board if unresolved.
- Right to nominate — nominate another person to exercise your rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address shown in the site footer. We will respond within the timeframe required by law.
7. Children
This service is intended for website owners and authorised representatives, who are presumed to be adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has submitted information, please contact us and we will delete it.
8. Security
We use HTTPS encryption for all transmissions, store audit data on encrypted disks, and restrict internal access on a need-to-know basis. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, but we follow industry-standard practices.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will also be communicated to recent submitters by email.
10. Contact and grievances
For privacy questions or to exercise your rights under the DPDP Act, contact us using the details in the site footer. The named Grievance Officer for the purposes of the DPDP Act will be confirmed and listed here once finalised with our legal counsel.
