Terms of Service
Last updated: 19 May 2026 · Draft pending legal review
1. The service
MOTS Technologies ("we", "us") provides a free, automated website-audit tool at audit.motstechnologies.in (the "Service"). When you submit a website URL, our scripts crawl a sample of pages and produce a report covering five pillars: SEO, mobile readiness, AI visibility, accessibility, and security. The report is delivered to you by email.
2. Who can use the Service
You may use the Service only if:
- You are at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement under Indian law.
- You own the website being audited, or you have authorisation from the owner to request the audit on their behalf.
- You are not on any sanctions list and your jurisdiction permits the use of services like ours.
You confirm both of the first two conditions when you tick the permission box on the audit form. Auditing a website without authorisation may be a violation of the Information Technology Act and of computer-misuse laws in other jurisdictions. We rely on your confirmation and bear no responsibility for unauthorised submissions.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Submit a website you do not own or have permission to audit.
- Use the Service to test, probe, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to systems.
- Submit malicious URLs, malformed inputs, or anything designed to disrupt the Service.
- Use automated tools to bulk-submit requests, or otherwise abuse the free-tier rate limits.
- Reproduce or republish our audit reports for commercial purposes without our written permission.
We may suspend or block access for any user we reasonably believe is violating these rules.
4. No warranty
The Service is provided "as-is" and "as-available". The audit checks are based on published standards and best practices as of the date of the audit, but website best-practice evolves, and our checks may produce false positives, miss issues, or interpret edge cases differently from other tools. We make no warranty that:
- The audit is complete, exhaustive, or free of errors.
- Fixing every issue we flag will improve your search ranking, conversions, or business outcomes.
- The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, or free of technical problems.
The audit is informational, not legal, security, or professional advice. For matters with legal, financial, or compliance consequences (for example, your obligations under the DPDP Act 2023 or accessibility regulations), consult a qualified professional.
5. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, our liability for any claim arising out of or related to your use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim. Since the Service is free, this amount is zero. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption.
6. Intellectual property
The Service, the audit script, the website design, and all related materials are owned by MOTS Technologies. Your audit report is generated for your use. You may share it with employees, contractors, and advisors; you may not resell it or pass it off as your own work.
You retain all rights to the website you submit and to any feedback you give us.
7. Privacy
How we handle the information you submit is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you agree to that policy.
8. Changes to the Service and these terms
We may update the Service or these terms at any time. When we change the terms, we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you violate these terms, abuse the Service, or if we discontinue the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — disclaimers, limitation of liability, intellectual-property terms — will survive.
10. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Nagpur, Maharashtra, India.
